If you been outdoors on Vancouver Island at all you know it’s an absolutely beautiful place. My mission here at Island Adventurer is to get as many people out to enjoy this incredible place.
One of the problems with the outdoor group on Vancouver Island is finding people to enjoy the views with. I’ve been working with the guys at Outdoor VanIsle to create the Vancouver Island Outdoor Forums. I encourage everyone that has any interest in adventuring and being outside on the island to check out the forums and all the interesting news and stories it will be full of. It’s currently in the early growing phase but with your help it will become an incredible resource for our outdoors friends, experienced and brand new!
One of our other projects that is getting underway is the Outdoor Wiki. It’s starting to take shape and promises to be an awesome place to go for any kind of outdoor information for Vancouver Island. If you need a hand with the forums, wiki or anything outdoors make sure you Contact Island Adventurer!
Dude, you’re doing some awesome work. Next time you’re on the mainland (or I’m on the island) we have to do some hiking together.

Hey thanks Karl! I’ll definitely let you know. There’s so much I want to see over there as well. Have you got any plans to see the island this summer?
I don’t have any plans right now. It’s hard to get away overnight because our little guys is still only just turning 2.
We’ve been talking about the WCT trail for years but I don’t think we’ll get a chance for a few years yet.
We have also been talking about a Tofino trip this summer so I’ll let you know.
How did you set up the Wiki? Such a good idea, would like to start one for Vancouver. I have some posts on clubs, stores, etc, but they get dated, and links go dead. This is a way better method.
hey this site was referred to me by some friends i am back on the island after playing in whistler squamish are for the past few years i am looking to network with fellow climbers and groups if you could help me out at all that would be awsome. keep up the good work glad to see someone is putting the time in here to. thanks
